A beautifully renovated luxurious Barn situated on the outskirts of North Berwick and surrounded by stunning farmland. A peaceful and tranquil location, yet just a short walk to the nearest beach, the centre of North Berwick and the train station which transports you to Edinburgh city centre in 30 mins. All in all it's the ideal location for discovering the delights of North Berwick, it's award winning beaches and fabulous High Street packed with independent shops, bars & restaurants.
The Barn dates back to 1890 and was previously used to house farm machinery and grain. In 2017 it was saved from dereliction when we lovingly restored it into a five star luxury holiday home, winning the esteemed Herald Property Award for 'Best Renovation / Conversion in Scotland'.
With ample private parking to the front and a private, and secure, garden to the rear with outdoor dining furniture and a Weber charcoal BBQ.
Internally there is a coat and boot room with a utility room at the front door which leads into the large kitchen / entertaining area. A fully stocked Poggenpohl kitchen with a large island, Siemens appliances including an induction hob, oven, microwave, fridge / freezer, dishwasher. Ideal if you wish to cook during your stay, or if you'd like to arrange a private chef.
Off the kitchen is the living room / dining area with 2 large sofas, a RAIS log burner, SMART TV and a mezzanine above accessed by a beautiful bespoke Beech staircase. This is the ideal den for older children / teenagers to hang out in as it has it's own sofa, SMART TV, PS4 game console and a very stylish gaming chair.
Downstairs there are two bedrooms and the family bathroom with a double ended bath and a wet room shower with a waterfall shower head. One of the bedrooms can be set up as a superking or as twin beds and the other is a double.
The upstairs Principal bedroom, which is accessed from the staircase in the kitchen, can either be set up as a superking or twin beds. It has an ensuite with Duravit fittings and a wet room shower with waterfall shower head.
Throughout the downstairs of the property there is underfloor heating, oak flooring and triple glazing making it super cosy during the Winter months.
Fluffy white towels and ultra soft bathrobes are provided (we even have some mini robes for our younger guests in sizes 2-5 years and 6-8 years). High chairs and travel cot beds are also available by prior arrangement.
We welcome up to two well behaved dogs in the Barn.
